WHAT WOULD YOU SACRIFICE TO SAVE MANKIND?

Greetings! I’ve an incredibly special treat for you – Morgan L. Busse’s Heir of Hope released today! As you may know, Heir of Hope is the third book in her Follower of the Word series. I’m a fan of all three (Daughter of Light, Son of Truth and now Heir of Hope), and I’m certain you will be too. In celebration of today’s release, I’m offering a giveaway. The first three people to answer the following question correctly will win an Heir of Hope ebook.

Who is my favorite Follower of the Word character? Answer in the comments. (Since I work a non-fantastical day job, I may not be able to respond until later tonight. This is, after all, a scheduled post. LOL)

a. Rowen          b. Lore          c. Caleb

Now, here’s a sneak peek…

What Would You Sacrifice to Save Mankind?

The great city of Thyra has fallen and shadows spread across the land. Rowen Mar, the last Truthsayer, is taken before the Shadonae. But the Shadonae are not who she thought they were, and now they want to claim her as their own.

Caleb Tala, former assassin and prince, is now a Guardian of mankind. Exiled from his country, Caleb wanders the desert in search of his mother’s past and clues to who he is.

These are the last days of the Eldaran race. Rowen and Caleb must find their way along the dark path set before them by their ancestors: to heal what was wounded and love where hatred grows. But the road is narrow and the darkness beckons. If either of them fails, all will be lost…

And the human race will be no more.

Great cover! Great blurb! GREAT story!

…if you’ve missed Daughter of Light and Son of Truth, you’ve got to at least see their covers…

  1. I’m guessing Caleb Tala. No reason, except that he’s my favorite character (but only by a smidge. Lore is also super awesome!). I’m drawn to the bad guy turned good guy in books.

  2. I liked Rowen and Caleb — Caleb had such a Paul-like experience and really turned his life around. But I also like Rowen who was willing to sacrifice it all to follow through on her ordained task.

Thanks for the giveaway! But since I already have a copy of all 3, I’ll pass on the giveaway and just answer the question . . .

  3. Hey. I have to guess Lore, just in case all the Caleb guessers are wrong. 🙂 Hope I win. I don’t have the third book yet. 🙂

  4. Okay, one of three things has happened…

    1. I’m completely transparent in my love for bad guys turned good.
    2. I’ve underestimated how many others also love bad guys turned good.
    3. Most of you chose the universal “Well, since I don’t know the answer, I’ll go with ‘c’ approach.”

Maybe all three have happened. Yes, Caleb is my very favorite Follower of the Word character. Tricia Mingerink, Jerusha Agent, and Elizabeth Lee are the winners! Since some of you may be new to the Follower of the Word series, I’ll even let you choose which book you want – just comment here or email me at info@angiebrashear.com. Thanks to all of you who participated!

  5. I haven’t heard of this series until now. The story sounds very good! By the way, I am a total sucker for bad guys turned good! XD Glad to know I’m not the only one. 😉
